For many schools, the pandemic increased the need to livestream events for our families, supporters, and community members who couldn’t join us in person. Even though the restrictions placed on many schools have been lifted, livestreaming is still a great opportunity to connect with families, fans, and our communities.

If you’ve just scratched the surface of livestreaming, or if you haven’t even started but want to learn, come learn about some innovative, yet manageable livestreaming ideas that will up your district’s livestreaming presence. This session will explore the fundamentals of good livestreaming/broadcast concepts and practices for live events such as sports/athletics events, concerts, plays, board meetings, and more. Topics covered will include:
  • which software and platforms work best for schools
  • examples of basic, intermediate, and advanced gear
  • “behind the scenes” technical details of how livestreaming works
  • what to expect for cost/budgeting
