Fall 2021 Midwest Ed Tech Summit

During this session, we will explore a variety of techniques that can be used to elevate learning and engagement through student talk both in person and virtually. These techniques will focus on academic conversations and questioning techniques and strategies that can be implemented to promote student total participation. Additionally, we will explore the role that feedback, reflection and collaboration play in supporting productive academic conversations. During this session, specific classroom examples will be provided and digital tools including Jamboard, Seesaw, FlipGrid and Padlet will be highlighted. You’ll come away with hands-on experiences, sample lessons/activities, and best practices/classroom applications for creating growth in the use of academic conversations, questioning techniques, feedback and reflection through the intentional design of high leverage digital learning experiences.
